Your information

Privacy

You are about to tell us something private about someone you love. This page says exactly what happens to it, in the same plain terms we use for everything else.

The short version

We collect what you choose to send us and nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we do not hand it to a list of communities so they can compete for your phone. There are no cookies on this site, no advertising trackers, and no analytics watching you read.

What we collect, and when

When you send us your situation. The referral form asks for your name, a way to reach you, and whatever you want to tell us about what is happening. Depending on which fields you fill in, that is your name, email address, phone number, your relationship to the person needing care, your parish or city, and the description you write. You decide how much of that to give us. An email address or a phone number is required, because otherwise an advisor cannot answer you.

When you use the MyCare Recommendation. The questions ask about care needs: how much help someone needs day to day, memory changes, mobility, falls, and similar. They never ask for a name, an address, a phone number or an email. That set of answers is anonymous while you are taking it. It stays in your own browser and is not attached to you unless you afterwards choose to send us your situation, at which point it travels with your referral so an advisor has context. If you take it and close the tab, nothing about you remains with us.

We ask for a ZIP code there to estimate local cost, and we only ever send the first three digits. The rest never leaves your browser. Three digits is enough to price a region and not enough to identify a household.

When you use the assistant. What you type is sent to be answered and is not kept as a conversation afterwards. Do not put a social security number, a policy number, or a full medical record into it. It is a starting point for questions, not a place to file documents.

How you arrived. If you reach us through a link that carries campaign tags, we keep those tags in your browser so that if you later send us a note we know which page brought you. It records a source, not a person.

Cookies, trackers and analytics

This site sets no cookies. It runs no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no analytics product. Nothing here follows you to another website.

Two pieces of information are kept in your own browser's storage, which is not a cookie and is not sent anywhere on its own: the campaign tags described above, and your MyCare result while your tab is open. Clearing your browser data removes both.

Who sees what you send

Your advisor sees it. It is held in the practice's advisory system, which is operated for us by our technology provider under contract and is not shared with them for their own purposes.

We share information with a care provider only when you have asked us to. If you decide you want to tour a community or speak to an in-home agency, we introduce you and pass along what is needed for that introduction. That is a decision you make out loud, not a default. We do not broadcast your details to providers to see who responds.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where someone appears to be in immediate danger.

What we will never do

  • Sell your information, or trade it for referral volume.
  • Put you on a marketing list because you used a tool on this site.
  • Pass your details to multiple providers at once so they can compete for your call.
  • Use what you tell us for advertising.

A note on health information

We are a senior advisory practice, not a healthcare provider, so the federal rules that govern hospitals and clinics do not by themselves apply to us. We treat what you tell us about someone's health with the same seriousness regardless, because the reason the rules exist applies here whether or not the statute does.

How long we keep it

For as long as the advisory relationship is useful to you, and after that for as long as we are required to keep records of the work we did. Ask us to delete what we hold and we will, except where a record has to be retained by law.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it, and we will. Ask us to stop contacting you, and we will stop. There is no form for this. Write or call.

Children

This site is for adults arranging care for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
